doctor says "she's a huge baby already"...

So I went in for a quick check up yesterday. I have GD*gestational diabetes* so he wanted to do a growth scan. Turns our she's already 5lbs 7oz and measuring almost 3 weeks ahead on some measurements. He said if she keeps growing at this rate she'll be huge and he'd already mentioned last appointment that he wants to take her 2 weeks early and now he's sayingthere is a strongpossibility for aC-section. I'd just really rather not have one if it at all can be helped. I keep telling myself my son was an oz short of 10lbs so as long as she's smaller than that I don't see why there would be a problem having her vaginally. In the end it's all about the baby's health and I'll do whatever is needed to get her out safely, but this is really starting to worry me. And the worst part is it's not that I'm scared of the surgery, I just don't want that freaking scar and all the complications that go with it!
So yeah i guess no point to the post, just sharing what's happening and hoping for some feedback.

They told me my son was a HUGE baby. Then They said "we have to induce you your baby is IUGR and only weigh's 4lbs 10 oz" I had my son and he was only 4lbs.There not always right

My girl was huge, 9 lbs 12 oz, and I had her vaginally. I don't see why size would in an issue in them taking the baby out early? Otherwise they would have done that with me. I had preeclampsia as well, but not GD.

The major problem with GD is that baby does tend to get larger than a baby who's mother doesn't have it. Thus my doctor makes it a practice to induce all women he sees with GD 2 weeks early. With my son he was induced 1 week early and was 10lbs. The reason theyinduce early isso the baby doesn't get too big and get stuck in the birth canal causing fetal distress, possible shoulder displasia, or other complications.. If we had left my son to come out whenever he was ready he could have easily been 11lbs+.
