re: Cool T-mobile trick if you want to upgrade really early.

Psh I'd do it. You know how many phone companies have smurfed me over during the years? I would love love LOVE to get one up on Sprint. They told us they put a deployment hold on our account, we called twice to confirm it. Then they continued to charge us for 6 months while we lived in another country. When we came back they refused to remove the charges AND screwed us out of our upgrades. Smurf em! But I love my phone and don't have t-mobile, haha

Actually insurance and warranty claims do not even go through the phone company. Legally phone companies can not interpret that information. That is fraud

That's what it's technically there for. They just don't much like it advertised,

Just because a rep suggested it doesn't mean it's a good idea. I was a rep for AT&T and I did A LOT of shady stuff lol

This.

Not to mention each phone as a serial number that is linked to your account, so when you warranty the phone the number isn't going to match.

But hey, if you want to be an ass hole... go for it.

With T Mobile you can take ANY used phone, Sign a new contract and get the manufacturer warranty. T mobile doesn't care. People buy new/used phones constantly. I'm paying for the warranty every month, paying for the replacement phone. The one bought already has problems covered by manufacturer warranty.

I get my awesome new phone Tuesday.

That's the insurance. A manufacturers warrantee comes from the manufacture ie. Nokia! Lg, Samsung. And can only be used within the first year as long as there's no visible damage

No. its the manufacturer warranty. I know what I'm paying for. The insurance was too expensive so we got the warranty.

You don't pay for a warrantee it's there by the manufacturer you may pay for an extended warrantee but generally there is a one year on cell phones. It's like if you up an iPad and two weeks later the screen goes out you take it back and get a new one for free because apple has a warrantee. I used to sell cell phones and have done warrantee exchanges on a couple blackberries I've had.

Then it's not a warrantee exchange if your phone stops working within a year of having it and it wasn't your fault. You should get a free one you don't even have to lay for the shipping
