I had grade Prep/1 for the past 4 years but when I let the temporary boss who was there last year and left in Dec, know that I was preg, she kicked me out of the classroom for this year and shoved me in the art room. we have 97 kids int he whole school, small rural school, and I teach ART and LOTE (Language other than English- Auslan, Australian Sign Language) for the whole school.
I teach prep to grade 6 this year.
The prin said it was better to have me in a specialist role considering I was having a term off to have a baby..... thats descrimination...shes not allowed to do that.....
I took the acting prin to the tribunal and won and a case of descrimination, so I was appointed ongoing rather than contract after working there for 12 years on a contract every year havign to reapply for my own job and go thru interviews every year for 12 years, gets a bit much...
Anyway, am ongoing now so I never have to reapply, but the compramise was that I would lose my classroom and have to be in the art room..

fuk i didnt take anything out for dinner, oh well we can starve till tomorrow when we go egt my mother haha....then mick has to go to work so he can make something at work since he works with food.....kaidyn is taking over my bed lol im like right on the egde of my side of the bed, nice of him isnt it

thats bullshit, if u been working there 12 years you shoudlnt have to go back and have an interview for your job, and for her to kick u outta the class room because ur pregnant is wrong, you would be able to egt her in soo much trouble for doing that...but half the time it isnt worth it

Yeah I had Mary Bluett the education union pres ringing me and everything... The prin has changed now, she was only there filling in until we appointed a new one.... but thats what they rallies have been for over here the last 12 months, less contract positions and equal pay to the other states... Jeff Kennet fkd up a lot of teachers opportunities... 85% of the ppl I went to uni with arent teaching b/c they couldnt get ongoing jobs and there was no jub security... thats why I had to wait until 32 to start a family... I didnt have any job security.,

I had natural, med-free births with both my girls, and while it hurt like hell, I can honestly say that the pain after having my wisdom teeth removed (they were impacted,) was far worse than childbirth.

I was making croutons at work and sank my chef's knife into the base of my thumb hard enough to lodge it into the bone. It took nine stitches to close it. It didn't heal properly, either - I have what feels like a little air bubble in there - it's a J-shaped scar. I can honestly say that that hurt worse than childbirth - and the first 16 hours and last 2 hours of mine were totally unmedicated, other than pitocin and IV fluids because I was dehydrated - especially when they went to wash the bread crumbs, salt, rosemary, black pepper, and garlic powder out of the wound.
