Good. If she's not crying or anything she probably needs to be seen. My baby was so lethargic by the time they decided to give her phototherapy she wasn't even crying or waking up when they took blood or pricked her anymore.

Yeah, im glad i came. A mothers instinct is always right. Her levels were 8 earlier, now they are 15.9. She is under the lights. They think something else is causing it since it doubled since the hospital.   i am so tired and so scared. I just wanna hold her and love on jer   but she cant be touched

I'm so sorry   Don't worry she should be out soon! My baby and I have different blood types and it caused a lot of complications after birth including jaundice. Are they letting you feed her every 4 hours or are they pushing formula on you?

They can also get dehydrated from the lights! I'm sorry I know watching all that sucks. I feel like after they gave my baby an IV she did a lot better. My child also constantly pulled it out   Don't worry you'll be home before you know it!

Yeah, she isnt pulling her IV out thank god. Shes gwtting mad about stuff now and cries   i never thought a cry could make my heart melt but oh my it does. Shes peeing and pooping like a pro. They cjeckes her levels tosay and they have went down, but to a 11.3 so they kept her on the lights for a second treatment. They are about to take her off the lights.. Shes been trying to open her eyes and the little blindfold is over them she gets soooo mad . Im just glad shes not lethargic anymore. Ive been pumping for her, and theyve fed her every 3 hours. She's eating about 25-30 ccs a feeding.

Yay! Hopefully you guys get to go home soon! Do you get to stay with her or are they making you go home? I was gonna say they let me slip my hand in to touch her anytime I wanted. We had a private room though so I'm not sure if they let you do that if it's not. If she's peeing and pooping though that's a sign that she's getting better.

Yeah they took her off the lights, she is pink now!!! Not yellow yay! But tbey let us hold her, i cried so hard it felt SO good to hold her. They let us touch her before. She was acting hungry and going for my boob so, i nursed her   she did amazing. She nursed and got 36 cc's (they weigh her before and after feeding) and, before when they fed her my molk in the bottles she would only eat 25-30. They want her to eat 40 to 50 though, but its improvement!! They do let us sleep there, by her bedside so we did last night. But tonight they had none of those recliner chairs and i need to sleep i havent slept   so we went home for tonight. Makes me sad, but i know shes in good hands. Ill be back first thing in the morning.

Oh my god. Ollie ate every 1-2 hours or just wanted on it every ten minutes lol. Let her eat so she can figure out a schedule of her own (when she gets home). People i know always stuck by the "no more tha. Two hours between" and would wake them up. I never have, i never let him go more than five due to if their bloodsugar gets low its haed to wake them up to eat. Plus its a prooven fact EBF babies eat way more often than eff babies. And shes doing great. 36!! Sooo close!!!!

Yay! She will be eating like a champ very soon! I know what you mean about needing sleep. I left SO with our DD the last night she was in NICU cause I hadn't slept in over a week. But then I ran around the house looking for her every time I fell asleep and woke up. So it wasn't very restful for me lol. Any word on when they're going to let her go home? I hope it's soon! Keep pumping too it helps so much when you engourge! I can't imagine not pumping in the beginning it hurts so bad!

Yeah, im pumping they supply you with parts that go to their pump for while im there, and they hooked me up with a Ameda purely yours for while im home. Her levels are 11 now. They will recheck at 4. But shes not eating like she should be and she wont get better if she doesnt poop. Sheeats good sometimes but not always and when she nurses she only gets about 26 ccs and falls asleep so i have to give her it with bottles. I just want her to be better.

I'm sorry   They might just need to run photothereapy again. The one good thing about NICU was the pump parts in my opinion. Are you taking her clothes off when you feed her? They had me do that to help her stay awake and it really helped!

Yeah i tried that she just sleeps, shes my lazy butt. Lol. She wakes up someimes to feed, but gotta wake her up every 3 hours and shes feeding well now, through the last 10 feedings. Shes eaten about 55 cc's every time which is good they say. They reccommend i offer her the breast but mostly feed her breastmilk through bottles to ensure she is eating right. So thats what im going to do. Shes going home now   and we have a follow up with the pediatrician monday. Shes actually waking up now and rooting around for food and she last ate at 12 (its 2:43) progress progress!!!! She also is waking when she pottys to be changed. I am sooo happy, but soooo nervous i hope everything stays fone when we go home.
