Quoting Felicia ッ:" Congrats! I had a girl too! I was excited, I was 39 weeks but induction ended up being horrible, I ... [snip!] ... being in the birth canal for so long..if I could go back I would say no to being induced unless I was more than a week overdue."Aww, Sorry to here that.. What kinda problems was she having?
Quoting Vindictive:" Not in my case. They didn't even want to keep me when I was at a 4 and in active labor. The only reason they did was because of my BP and protein in my urine."Really? Thats crazy.. my clinic says they dont like wemon to go over 40 weeks because of the infection that could be in the amniotic fluid.

Quoting Vindictive:" What? There isn't an infection in the amniotic fluid after 40 weeks.. The only way there could be an infection is if your water has been broken more than 24hrs without antibiotics."Well when you carry over 40 weeks lets say to 42 weeks.. The bag the babies in does not work as well and there is chance of infection.. Happened to my nephew.,

Quoting LisaTrisler:" Aww, Sorry to here that.. What kinda problems was she having? "She swallowed fluid in the birth canal & was in the NICU for 2 days & she also had bruising/cuts on her head & bruising on both arms & legs I mean luckily it was nothing major but it was surely scary being a first time mom & going through that.. She also had jaundice (which I read could be caused by pitocin, not sure how accurate that is though) & she stayed on the bililight basically 24/7 for 3 days when she was released which also sucked
Quoting Jess♫:" That's a load of bullsmurf Your body is meant to deliver.. People deliver all the time w/ healthy babies past their due date!"Idk, But i do know that my nephew was born 42 weeks and he sucked in the fluids and caught a infection and was in icu for 2 weeks after.

Quoting Vindictive:" That's because he had fluid in his lungs, not because an infection was in the amniotic fluid.. "
