my poor baby

posted 20th Jun '12
It's about 100 degrees and humid as smurf here. And LO has a really bad diaper rash. I keep putting calendula salve and balmex on it, then wrapping him in a cloth diaper before i put his disposable on. it's just so hot he keeps sweating it off and crying. Poor baby.

I would keep his diaper off if you can. Hang out in the kitchen or some where without carpet, in case of pee or poo accidents

can you set up a fan to blow the cold air from the dining room into the kitchen

and I wouldn't wrap him in cloth AND a disposable. I would just use cloth

My grandmother and my dads gf swear by cornstarch. You sprinkle it on like baby powder. They don't even use any diaper cream.

This too

creams could be more damaging in this heat. Cornstarch wicks away moisture

I only have cloth inserts, I don't have any covers for them. I really want to start using cloth diapers though. Maybe I'll pick some up.
