*Bitch* if i wrote a wish list for gifts for isabella birthday
i just dont want people going out and buying random stuff
there are things that she needs and that i want her to have
i just cant spare the money right now..
for example.....
the rest of the pieces to her crib set. it was expenise so shes only got almost half there are like 6 other pieces for the set
some learing toys like smart things :shes got a few things but not much:
i want a v smile baby
or just like gift cards and i cant get what she needs
i just dont want people to buy her clothes i have enough trouble figureing out what size she wears half the time anyway

im really not looking forward to the gifts for her birthday anymore now taht i think about it .

I wouldn't but that's up to you. I would say if people ask what is needed you could tell them what you want!

with my kids birthdays on the invites I usually put their clothing sizes and shoe sizes and a little comment on what they are in to no one has ever said anything to me about it so I don't think they should say anything to you

Eh, not bitchy but it's kinda tactless.

well I do the same but I just made a list to give people an idea of what Leilany need wal mart and target has wish lists that you can make online for people to look at them ... im not forcing anyone to buy a specific gift I just make it clear to them that they could buy something similar to the items on the list I made

on the back (or inside) of the invites I would just put a little comment saying "If your stuck for ideas heres a few things Isabella needs" and if your putting clothes on there include her sizes and all... I'm sure if your worded it kindly people wouldn't take offence and some could probably find it useful

It does sound rude giving specific things to buy for your child, On my son's birthday I did request that no one buy him any toys specifically because his toybox is overflowing and we don't have the room. So everyone bought clothes for him. In that type of situation I don't see a problem with it.

Target has the option to make a wish list. You could try that and put it on the invitation kinda like a baby shower.

I think this is a very good idea! And if you don't need clothes which I never do I will tell people no clothes she has so many she outgrew and the tags are still on them. I just wouldn't make the list very long...but then again if you do this you may get many doubles of things?

I just put Ethans sizes and his favorite things like books and hot wheels on the invitation just so people know what he likes and they didn't have to guess the sizes he wears.

I got the idea from my aunt who did that with her son and it was soooooooooooo nice to have hints cause then you didn't totally have to guess and it made shopping a whole lot easier!

I think that is a better idea than a wish list.

giving ideas of what your child likes (animals, spiderman, Hannah Montana) sounds like a great idea. Also, you could give a list of things you could actualy use to family members... they're family, they have to deal with it if they dont like it!

I wouldn't... Everyone just asked me what she needed and I told them if they asked.

I'd say since she can't write her own birthday wish list, why not do it for her? It's absolutely perfect, for them to know what you need for her so they're not wondering "What do you get for a 1 year old girl?". Not everyone knows X_x Plus, if they DO want to get a little something for her, they can pick up one of the things on your list, and then a little 5 dollar stuffed toy or set of blocks or something. I find it very tactful, so that people who wish to get her something for her birthday KNOW they are getting something you guys can use/need.
