how long

Did it take for you mommas to dialate past 2cm? I went to L&D cause im in alot of pain and found out im having contractions and im at 2 but the hour i was there i didnt progess any so they sent me home but they said before i left that it could be tonight that i have her or it could be another few weeks. Contractions are getting stronger and more painful so im hoping i have her soon but they said it could be weeks... i went from nothing to 2 in just 4 days so it shouldnt take that long right? Ugh i just want my baby already!:/

Time your contractions and if they start to get pretty close, go back in. and if they stay pretty far away then dont go.

If the contractions are getting stronger and more painful you'll probably be having her within the next couple of days. Goodluck!

I was 1cm when I was admitted at L&D b/c my water broke at home but as soon as that happened it didn't take long and I was dilated to 4 in a few hours. I skipped past 2 and 3 it seems like. I had been 1cm and 50% effaced for a few weeks though. I contracted regularly (regular intervals but not close enough together...10-15 mins) for 5 days before I finally went into actual labor. I know it's super frustrating but just try to take it easy for now and you'll be in labor before you know it. Good luck!

I was at a 3 for over 6 weeks with both of my older two   I had to be induced both times thanks to pre e. Sorry, it could be a long time! Or, you could go from a 2 to a 10 in just a few hours!

I only have 17 more days but i was up at l&d at 8-9 and they said my water wasnt broke, i didnt change past 2, i was having contractions but not as strong as they could be but they gave me meds and sent me home and sence being home its getting worse but if contractions are getting worse then that means im getting closer right?
