I honeslty disagree with this. I was hurt by a 70 year old man when I was 11 and I was dressed completly coverd.
And when I was 18 when I DID dress trashy if I had gotten raped then and someone said I started it by what I was wearing....Hell. That's horrible.

Honestly rape is about power. It's NEVER a womens fault. What if you had a daughter who snuck behind your back and dressed a certain way? (that's what I did when I was a teen) What if she got raped?? Would you tell her it's HIS fault...but also yours because you started the impulse?????????

Like I can understand some of what you try to say..but this is not true at all and very sad.

This! I know my Mom tells be about how she got suspended for school (she actually was also the first girl to ever get paddled at her school. haha) for wearing pants. Yep. It wasn't "classy" or "ladylike" to wear pant. It was down right distasteful!

Clothing in and of itself have no real meaning. It is only the meaning we assign to it, so why do we decide that if your skirt is less then "x" number of inches you must not respect yourself?

This goes with size of a woman as well.

You know that women who are heavier must cover up more, as well. If you are a "small" woman, you can get away with a shorter skirt or tighter dressers and still be considered "classy" by the judgmental idiots. If you have flab on your body, you must dress more modestly in order to "respect yourself".
