Levels after miscarriage **UPDATE #2** pic

posted 19th Jun '12
My levels went up again but they are only in the 200 range ? I took a pregnancy test and it came out +. This is no fun at all. They won't tell me if I'm still pregnant or not. I have no idea what is going on. I go back Monday for more blood work. They are giving me progestogen to take till Monday.

The line doesn't have any color ??

No, they shouldn't go up unless you didn't really miscarry or you haven't passed everything.

They normally reach zero within 2 weeks, but it depends on how far along you are. No, it's not normal for them to increase. If they're increasing, then you're not having a miscarriage.

If your cervix is closed, and your levels are rising, then you were misdiagnosed.

I'm sorry, I think I need a bit more of a back story..

Why do you think you're miscarrying? What were your levels doing?

Or she's have an ectopic. Don't your levels drop/rise with ectopics?

They said I was due February 4th, well my hcg levels were only 600 Saturday at ER and they didn't see anything. But today my levels went up and my cervix is closed and I only bled for 2 days.

How far along were you? It might have been too early to see the baby. Did you go to the ER or your OB?

What did your OB say about all of this?

My OB said they slowly rise. He suspected my last was an ectopic, but it wasn't.

I have never heard of them dropping. They can rise slowly or even rise normally to a point. If you are pregnant with twins and you miscarry one they will still continue to rise

They said 6.5 weeks. I went ER that said I miscarried and ob thinks I'm still pregnant just not that far along.
