I need a fitness buddy.

I've been struggling with my self image for years and years. After giving birth to my second son in late 2009, I was miserable with the way that I looked. As uncomfortable as I felt, I've never made a full-blown effort to change things. I'll work out for a few weeks then stop. I'll change up my eating habits for a little while then revert right back to my old ways. At this point, I'm frustrated with myself and my obvious lack of motivation. The way I see it, it's time to put up or shut up. I can't really complain about something that I have the power to change but just choose not to.

So, I was wondering if there is anyone out there that is willing to lend support and be a "fitness buddy" of sorts? I don't have anyone that I can look to or lean on for motivation. I'm up for doing weekly weigh-ins, workout journals, etc. I'm ready to throw myself into this but I feel like the journey would be more successful if I had someone along for the ride.

I will   I need someone to motivate me to cook healthy mostly! I need good ideas...we love fried foods and that doesn't work too well to lose weight lol. I can't start working out for a few more weeks..but once I can I want to start out with 30 day shred.(did it with my last child too and lost about 20 lbs!)

you look AMAZING
but i know what you mean  
add me on MFP! i'm trying to be more active on there.. and i usually chat with ppl on there.. they tend to be more motivated and stick to their goals longer than ppl i find on here lol no offense to anyone.
but usually when i join something on here.. it dies.. fast.

I'm so bad about cooking healthy! I try my best to modify our favorite recipes to be healthier but I know that there's more that I could do in that department. I've never gotten more than a few days into 30DS. 20 lbs of loss is amazing though. I might need to go dig out the dvd.

Oh, me too. I'm so hopeless when it comes to a healthy lifestyle change. I'm so rooted in my current way of life that it's hard to find a starting point.

Thanks, lovey! Your progress has been amazing! I've tried reaching out to FB friends and nobody really sticks with anything or they're at a different level than I am. BG was my backup plan but I've also noticed how quickly things fizzle out here. I don't think I've been on MFP since I signed up.    I'll check it out.

That's how I feel I love fried foods n chips that's my life I hate fish I eat a salad from time to time so I have no clue what to eat ever! I drink lots of water at wrk that's pretty much the only change I've been able to make and stick too as for everything else it's so hard

it is hard!!!

I stuck to a good diet for a sold 4-6 weeks...threw all the junk food out of my house and honestly now its EASY to want to eat good! I only eat fried foods probably once a month if i go out to eat.....other than that it gets easier i promise!

I eat a lot of baked chicken breasts, veggies
take cooking you food with butter and replace it with olive oil
if you want something quick try the kashi or lean cuisine meals
for breakfast I use Idealshape meal replacement shakes and eat it with a kashi granola bar or piece of fruit....(its similar the shakeology)

also!!!! sign up on myfitnesspal.com and start tracking your food everyday! It really helps. It'll help you see exactly how many calories and such you should be eating everyday and helps you to not go over.

it'll tell you how many cal you should be eating for your age/weight/goals to help you reach your goal.
