posted 7th May
hi there. i had backpain since my 8th weeks till now in my 14th weeks. My work at the office requires me to sit n face computer. i also drive 45 minutes to n back from work so i am having backpain most of the time during the day. is this normal??
i also urinate a lot at night n have to wake up 3-4 times at night. is this normal? unlike most women i know, i had no nausea or morning sickness but during my last scan i can see my lil' one moving around so that's a big relief for me.
pls help n give advice n infos. thanks!

Backpain and going to the bathroom alot is very common. I have both. My back hurts me right above my bottom. A maternity belt may help. I also sit in my office in front of a computer alot while seeing clients so I bought a small pillow to put in my chair while I am sitting. As far as the urinating during the nighttime, I don't have a solution to that problem...

The amount you're sitting is probably contributing to it. Is there any way that you could put some kind of back support/back roll behind your back, especially at work? You could also try a heating pad (or make one of your own by putting some rice into a sock and putting it in the microwave for 30 sec).
Do you have access to a pool? Floating in water can help too. I've got a bad back and had to do water therapy for about 6 weeks at one point in time and just being in the water really helped me.
Hope your back pain goes away (or at least gets manageable!)

Oh, with the urinating part, do you drink a LOT of water right before bed? If I drink a full bottle of water or more right before bed I end up waking up in the middle of the night, but as long as it's more than a half hour before bed I'm good and don't have to wake up in the middle of the night (but I've gotta go NOW first thing in the AM, LOL!)

I work at a desk all day to and my upper back has been killing me! I got some advice from girls on here, the best is to sit up as straight as possible. I have Ben trying to do that and it has been helping. Also taking breaks to stretch out helps. A heat pack at night works wonders, if you can bring one to work, go for it! The peeing thing is irritating me to! I get up at least 2 times a night, I was getting up like 4 but now its just 2. And if I fall back asleep I will start dreaming of going to the bathroom. I wake up real quick and I'm like oh no, but luckily I haven't actually done it in my sleep...yet. Oh the joys of pregnancy!
