Teething - Runny nose and cough

My son is teething. And is just misarable, He has two teeth though on the bottom and must be starting on the top two. I took him to the doctors on Monday and she said that his left ear was a little red. So she put him on Amoxicillin. Today when he woke up he has a runny nose and congestion.

Would teething cause the Runny nose and cough? If he is on antibotics then it should be knocking any other infection out of him. What could it be if not teething?

It has been to many years since my last was a baby.

it can allso cause diahreah bad. but yes to the nose and caugh. My daughter had the nose so bad I thought she was sick and the Dr had to hide her smiles about it

I just did not think that there was much of a difference between the top and bottom teeth coming in. Guess that I was wrong. My poor baby wakes up like three times a night crying it hurts and cant or wont eat cause of it. He was not that bad with the bottom two. Like I said it has been to many years since the last one to remember the bad days,
