Piercings

Has anyone else had any issues with piercings? Ears or elsewhere?
I have 18 total in my ears, my chin, and my belly, and each one has been very tender at different times so far in my pregnancy.

i had to take my nipple rings out at 14 wks cause they stung really bad from the colostrum coming in, and they were leaking, but they are still open   and both my top and bottom belly ring ache when i leave them in, so i take them out and only put them in when my belly is showing

I cant wear mine for long periods of time during pregnancy. Its a mixture of hormones and extra blood flow I believe that causes the pains. It always went back to normal after the baby though.

I don't know if this helps, but piercings can be affected when your immune system isn't as strong as it should be, even if they're healed. If it's not relevant, then there's an fyi for you lol.

i have numerous ear piercings and my cartiledge got REALLY infected once, but after antibiotics is has been fine. My other ear piercings get tender though so not I have to take out a few at night in order to sleep. I also took out my two belly button rings and they are still open. My nose and lip have been fine. 

I have a barbell in my nipple and its been sore for the past couple of weeks. I'm assuming I'll have to take it out eventually??

Not really unless you plan on breastfeeding and even then it only has to be out suring the actual feeding. The major thing though when breastfeedingis you need to clean the barbell everytime it comes out to prevent infection.
