Lennon Jacob

So my little man arrived on Saturday morning 5-03-08 at 6:24 am. I woke up Friday morning and was laying around feeling mild contractions. I had been having them for weeks so I didn't think anything of it. I was laying there waiting for my alarm to go off so that I could go to my NST. All of a sudden my water broke, it really does feel like you are peeing but it doesn't stop!!! I live alone so I called Ed (baby daddy) and screamed at him to come cause it wouldn't stop pouring out of me! I was so freaked out but really excited. He picked me up and i got a muffin from starbucks. I was in a hurry cause I thought for sure I was like 4 or 5 cm dilated. We arrived at the hospital and I was checked and I wasn't even 1 cm! I was so mad. So they put me on a pitocin drip and I was pretty much in pain immediatly. I labored for 8 hours before I requested the epidural. It was scary but the epiduaral guy was amazing and I felt better quickly. Unfortunatly I ended up getting a really bad fever which was very scary and caused me to have the shakes and a migraine headache. After about 5 hours my fever broke and then I just waited and waited to dilate. I needed a bump up of epidural and my legs were so numb that I was scared when the nurse moved them because I felt like they were not even there. So After 20 hours it was time to push. I pushed and pushed and pushed. He was not coming out!!! He was stuck behind my pelvic bone (I am a very small person) After 2 hours he finally was ready to come out, but I needed the episiotomy. My epidural was totally gone by this point so they gave me a local. She cut me and I pushed and out he came!!! He tore me all the way through my rectum down to the muscle. Who cares? He is perfect and amazing and I have never been so in love. He weighed 6 lbs 8 oz and was 19 inches. He is an angel!

Congrats...sorry about your episiotomy...invest in an inflatable cushion or like one of those rings that you swim with..they are amazing...oh and he is beautiful!!

Did you deliver at east??? I just got back from there, long story. I go back in tomorrow to see if im going to be induced.
