Quoting This girl is his mommy. [:" True, but the longer you delay solids the less the allergy risk."

You mean the less harmful an allergic reaction would be.

your choice, do what you want with your kids, but it is published all over all sources of information to NOT do this because of the choking hazard..... it used to not be illegal to drink and drive, and my dad used to drink with us in the car. Just because they did it, doesnt make it right.

I've never heard that before. I don't understand. If a kid's allergic to a food, he's going to be allergic to it no matter the age, right?

No. Certain things are more likely to set off an allergic reaction the younger a child is (honey, strawberries, etc), but allergies in general can come and go.... a lot of people grow out and grow in to allergies.

<blockquote><b>Quoting Louisejade123:</b>" ,..cereal and yoghurts?"</blockquote>

It is suggested not to start cereal or anything else till afer 6 months due to their immature digestive tract and a higher risk of contracting allergies. Myself personally will wait ATLEAST till 6 months but wont tey him on anything till hes able to hold thinks in his mouth withoit trying to suckle on it (as in suck on a nipp), and when he shows a seriois intrest in food. When he does i will be using a baby bullet and makeing homemade food  . Personally i dont like jared baby food and what we eat is nutritional and perfectly fine for him

I gave DS baby cereal around 4 months on a spoon and at 6 months I switched to Baby oatmeal. I recently started buying him yogurts in the baby aisle. He loves them. He was 9 months the first time he had yogurt.
