CERCLAGE??

WELL iM NEW TO THiS SiTE...AND JUST WANTED TO SAY Hi TO EVERYONE...AND TO LET YOU ALL KNOW A LiL ABOUT ME iS THAT iM 20 YEARS OLD AND i HAD A SON AT 21 1/2 WEEKS AND UNFORTUNELTY HE DiD NOT MAKE iT. FOR MY NEXT PREGNANCY THEY SAiD THEY WERE GOiNG TO GiVE ME A CERCLAGE AT 14 WEEKS...DOES ANYONE KNOW iF THiS WORKS? MY DOCTOR SAYS iT WiLL WORK SO MY CERViX WONT OPEN AND i WONT GiVE BiRTH PREMATURLEY BECAUSE OUR FiRST LOSS iS VERY HARD ON US. i BELiEVE HER BUT iM STiLL SCARED. PLEASE ANY iNFORMATiON WiLL HELP! THANKS!!

I actually don't know anything about Cerclage, but I wanted to say I am so sorry to hear about your loss. How are you doing?

It depends on why your baby came early. If your baby came early because of an incompetent cervix, then the cerclage should work wonders. Unfortunately it wasn't an option for me though, so my knowledge is limited. I know lots of preemie mommas that it's worked for though! They usually have to go on bedrest at some point to hold it in, so just be prepared for that.

Im sorry about ur angel...Hello yes it does it holds baby inside. My aunt had it twice , she had a history of 6 miscarriages because she couldnt hold em in early. She had some bed rest,being carefull in every movement but then she told me they had to tear it in labor for the birth.

sorry for the caps...i didnt know...but no im not pregnant at the moment. me and my boyfriend are waiting a couple months to make sure my body is completley healed and because i just started anti-depressant meds and my doctor wants to take them for a couple months before i start trying to get pregnant again. but thanks for the support it truly helps!
