birth certificate

when did you get your LOs birth certificate. my baby is almost 3 months old and i still havent gotten it.

He's almost 9 months. I totally forgot, LMAO

I got my daughters at like 3 or 4 weeks old. You have to send off for it though, at least I did.

Here in OH it's never mailed to you. You have to go to the Health Dept. or Vital Statistics office and get it.

I live in Ohio and they mailed it to me. I got it when she was a few weeks old and her S.S. card when she was about a month old.

I already got her social security card...I got that like really quick. where do I call to check up on it?

If you're in PA it might be time to call the Office of Vital Statistics. They usually send out before 7 weeks.

Hmmmm... Weird. I've had 3 kids ALWAYS had to get them!

Maybe it just depends on the hospital.

I don't remember how old she was when we got it. I had to fill out papers in the hospital at my first visit and after LO was born. They sent a 'rough copy' to me in the mail and didn't have any of SO's info on there so I had to do all the changes and send that back in. I think by the time all that was taken care of she was about 4 months maybe 5? To actually get it though, we had to go to the vital records area at the courthouse.

We have to go to the county offices to get it if we want/need it. And we have to pay :/

I ordered it as soon as I got home from the hospital and received it within 10 days or so.
