Preemie mommas!

What age did your preemie start walking> Kadence was born at 24 weeks and 4 days. She is almost crawling. I know I have to be paitent I was just wondering. Thanks ladies.

My 28 weeker walked at 13 months. My friends term baby didn't walk till 16 months though! So who knows! Be glad you can keep track of her, I'd do just about anything for just one day of my daughter sitting in one spot! =)

WOW!! So glad to see a 24 weeker survive. Iam at serious risk..I was hospitalized last week in my 24th week!

Well, I was diagnosed with a short cervix starting at 33mm and it has shortned to 20mm. Then they gave me a fetal fibernectin test which is to test for fluid from the baby which normally only appears just before labor begins. My test was positive indicating that I could deliver within 2 weeks. So they hospitalized me for 5 days to make sure there were no contractions or dialtion. Luckily nothing. So I was discharged on strict bedrest and will repeat the test in a couple of days.
I delivered at 25.5 weeks in 05 and he survived 3 weeks

How long was your baby in the NICU?

She was in there for 7 months before coming home. It was hard but well worth it.

Geeze, 7 months, makes me feel like an ass for complaining about my kids' hospital stays =( I can't imagine!

Congrats on the 7 months! we have been in for 6 months now... its good to see your lil one growing up home and healthy

My son just started walking at 15 months .He was born at 32weeks 5 days

Mine just started to walk along things, for about a week now. She will stand on her own for about 5 seconds. She was born at 35 weeks.
