Aydin is here! Labor story

On Monday Andrew and I decided to go to the grogery store to pick up a few things when he got off of work. I only made it to the second aisle before I felt a pop.   I looked at Andrew and told him that I thought my water had broken and a few seconds later I felt like I was leaking. I quickly went out the car well he paid for our things and we took off. I got to the hospital about 20 minutes later and my contractions were already strong. They had me walk around for about an hour and then they checked me. I was 6 cm, but my contractions were about 2 minutes apart and the pain was insane. I walked around the room for a little while longer and decided that I wanted to get an epidural. Well I was waiting for them to come and put it in I was getting a huge urge to push and they were telling me it was because he was all ready so low and it wasn't time to push yet. Once they got my epi. in I laid down and the doctor came in the see were I was at and she said I was past 10cm. and ready!   If they would have checked me one more time before putting the epi. in I could have just skipped it and pushed. The doctor said she'd give me a few minutes to rest and let the epi. kick in and she came back about 45 min. later. She had me start pushing and it only took about 9 pushes and little Aydin came right out! He was born at 9:33pm, so I was only in labor start to finish about 5 hours! He weighed 5 lbs. 8oz. (he was a little over a month early) and was 18 in. long!Aydin is so far a really good baby. He never cries and sleeps great. I actually have to wake him up sometimes to eat since he's so young.

congrats mama!! Were you really active during your pregnancy? I heard that if you are your labor is faster and easier......I am really active so I am crossing my fingers that mine goes like yours!   He is so cute!!

Congratulations!
I am so happy for you and your little boy. I am glad that all worked out, even being a month early. Glad to hear he is healthy and was able to go home with his mommy and daddy.
