Gestational Diabetes
posted 17th Jun '12
So early last week I found out I have gestational diabetes. I am pretty sure I am having a very big baby, since at my 28 week appt baby was measuring (via ultrasound) a little over a pound above average. Anyways I have been reading up on gestational diabetes and what not, and maybe I am having trouble finding what I am looking for (or just impatient lately), but does anyone know of the average range of what a glucose level should be 1 hour after a meal? Mine has been pretty stable but I am not sure where it is suppose to be. Thanks

I have had GD this pregnancy, and I was told that the goal was to keep my 1-hour post meal blood glucoses <130.
I was put on Lantus (which helps morning fasting blood sugars) for quite some time, and only recently - for the last three or so weeks of the pregnancy, did I need insulin that I take with meals.
