Period before and after having a child...

If you had really bad periods pre baby, after having a baby do they get better or worse? Im 16 weeks pp and have yet to have a pp period, but they used to be hell, does anything change at all?

I had horrible periods as a teenager and into young adulthood. After having my 3 older children, however, my periods were great (if you can say that about a period.) They were pretty regular (27 to 34 days) and they lasted about 3 days total, with only one day of really heavy flow. Some months I had cramping and others I didn't. My periods have been worse after having this last baby, but I think it's probably due to my age (I am 43).

same. Mine are shorter and lighter, but I breastfeed..

I used to have back aches and cramps.... some months could be pretty painful. I got my period back about 4 months after my daughter was born... shes 9 months now ... and i have almost no symptoms anymore except once in a while a dull back ache. I wadnt expecting it to change like that!

I havent had one yet.. and I am soon to be 8 months pp.

My cycles are longer since I have had my daughter
