My daughter's toenail is hanging off

My daughter's toenail is hanging off because she pulled a door into her toe 2 weeks ago. I didn't know if it was totally lifted or how bad it actually was because I didn't want to mess with it too much besides cleaning it with peroxide and putting ointment and a bandage on it. A few minutes ago I noticed her bandaid coming off and when I picked her up I saw that her toenail is pretty much hanging by a thread. I'm freaking out & I don't know what else I can do. Will it grow back? Please tell me it will grow back

My SO pushed the door into me and pretty much ripped my toenail off. It grew back.

You can let it fall off on it's own or rip it off, but ripping a toe nail off hurts like a bitch.

10 chances to 1 it will grow back. It will just take some time.

Is there anything a doctor can do??

I honestly don't know, i doubt they'd do anything unless it's infected or something. You could call and ask though?

of course it will grow back! it just takes time. I would just clip off the toe nail if it is "hanging by a thread". Keep it clean and sanitized in the mean while. (:
