Being confrontational is NOT my thing...

A girl I used to be super best friends with, isn't really a bitch towards me, but she takes me being laid back for granted. For example, she has been blowing me off, or "forgetting" about me, or whatever excuses she has for that time ( decided to stay home because her husband wanted her to bake pie <-- that one pisses me off.. lol).

It has gotten to the point where I don't even shower, or get dressed to get ready to go out with her anymore after she invites me out. Last night, she told me she wanted to hang out. Then texted me an hour later and said she had to wait for Hubs to get back from his friends house... (okay that right there tells me her and I are not going out), and then at 11 I texted her and said I was just going to bed... I had not heard from her since 6 pm at that point.
Then I didn't get a text from her until 1pm today, saying "omg, I fell asleep".
Now normally (well every single time) when this situation comes up, I tell her "It's okay  "... but not today, today just wasn't her day. And I told her, "Ohwell, I didn't even get ready to go out with you because I never expected you to go out anyways, you always blow me off". She apologized, but I don't think I'm going to take it. I finally told her that it's, "NOT okay". I'm tired of it. gah. Anyways, not I feel guilty and like an smurf, because I don't confront people. sooo there goes a friendship into ruins. I suppose it's best that it's there anyways.

I have a friend like that too. She's kind of the only "friend" I have   But she almost always blows me off when we make plans.

I believe in two things in friendships. True friends never leave no matter how bad a issue can be ( maybe back away from her as I think space is needed?) And two people go through things and might not even tel a best frifnd about it ( don't leave her side as if she's going through a hard time she needs people , you the most right now ). Fighting sucks when you care about someone and that's why things get bothered as people care about others !!!

She's been blowing me off for over a year. It's not like we've hung out recently all the time and she needs space. She invites me out to do things. And then ditches. I think I'm just her back up plan for when she feels her other plans don't work out. So I don't know. Oh well. I honestly have already given up, but I've also not ever told her until today that it's not okay to treat me that way.

Yeah, that's my situation. Exact. So it's hard to be like "I don't need a friend like her", when I honestly have no right to choose since she is technically my only friend. It makes my SO mad that I put up with it.

I've had a best friend for over 12 years I loved her dearly but as we both moved away and are on two different paths we seem different from our last year in high school got into it and it made me very sad but as i feel things are the way they are no matter how much they could suck we all will go throw life wondering and seeking and some things need to be let go !

Is her husband a jerk?? I remember always having to make excuses when i was
in an abusive relationship.

Yeah he is such a jerk. A couple weeks ago she phoned me crying because she just found out he had a secret cellphone. So yup.
When her and I were really good friends they were on a break.

So I'm sure you understand alittle now that her husband controling it has nothing to do with you two as friends pray for her to be able to feel free from that !

Yup, but there is only so much of it that I can take. I feel bad for her, I do. But she obviously isn't wanting to help her self. And her being a flake towards me but still be able to go out with other people then post pictures on facebook is ridiculous.
