I would rest. 36wks is still pretty early & you want your baby to stay in as long as possible, especially if you don't know when you are due. Good luck!

I've had a few doctors say all different things on due dates with my children if they have been doing ultrasounds they can tell mote clearly on the size which then can tell some sort of due date and most ladies know anyways babies come when they wanna !!! Good luck

Even without a due date being changed around all wacky, my grandma went into labor at 36 weeks with every single child she had. And they were all chunky healthy kids. So, I would just go with your gut.

There is no medical need for an induction, so stay away from that.
I'd take it easy, since you don't really know when your due date is you want baby to stay in as long as possible.

If you're 36 weeks and having contractions I would be preparing for baby. It sounds like you are having back labor. I never felt anything but pain in my back when I had back labor with DS.

Would walking my dog, cleaning and vacuuming my house really make a difference at this point?

Thank you all for your input. Sad that five minutes online helps more than my 'support group'. hahahahah

Definitely dont take any medication until AFTER birth for pain.. Like someone said, babies come when they want, at this point your due date is out of the loop so your baby can honestly come at any time. I am on my 3rd baby and once again had every last one of my due dates changed as well -_-. It's frustrating but at this point for you, you already know to take it easy, You can continue house work as long as your baby's not reacting to it. Just no heavy lifting and reaching for stuff. I reached for something once and my son kicked me so hard I saw his foot print. Pretty much telling me I was doing too much. Walking can help, so make sure you get your daily walk in. With my 2nd son, I started getting contractions at 7 months and they said that was due to dehydration. So drink a lot of fluids to ease your contractions (I wasnt feeling them either). It's definitely best to keep your hospital bag handy and for rest, lay on your LEFT side, with a bunch of pillows surrounding you and mainly in between your legs. These anticipated days are gonna be the worst but you'll be able to sleep comfortably again soon! Best of Luck!

at this point I think you can carry on as normal unless your doc yold you otherwise...seeing that you have no concrete due date you may be like 38 weeks and the baby could be ready to be born...he/she will comw when ready....good luck!!!

Quoting Euphoric Manic:" besides just talking to my doctors, because let's face it, they're crunched for time and biased anyway. ... [snip!] ... I be listening to them and taking it easy? Or should I be going about my normal activities? Would inducing be a bad idea?"

First off, a really good friend of mine is small, everyone in her family is small, same with her husband... it didn't effect her pregnancies or her due dates. She had small babies but that was it.

And I see no reason why you shouldn't be doing normal activities... when your contractions start to hurt, then I'd get excited.... right now you're not doing anything. Calm down.
