I voted for the jerk option but not he is just being a guy part. Thats messed up that he flipped out. Yes you did ask where he was if i woke up through out the night and my SO was MIA i would be wondering the same thing. Its not asking can i go hunny? Where is the option of "I would go full on psychotic if my SO acted that way."? Because that's the one I choose. His smurf would be in the living room where his new bed resides. First off, my SO knows better than to leave without telling me where he's going, second if he ever texted me the "it's a secret" bullsmurf, I would not accept that as an answer, and third he knows better than to stay out all night and not come home the next morning. None of that scenario would sit well with me at all and he sounds like he was doing something or being somewhere he shouldn't have been because a) he got way too defensive b) he got mad at you for no reason and turned it around on you even though he's clearly in the wrong. c) he didn't wake u up to go even though he knew you really wanted to go.

SO acted like that once and omg... the outcome was bullsmurf. But it was our "friend" influencing him.
