its not fathers day at my house but papas day

I have been a single mom since my son was 6m old. His father and family walked out so he doesn't have a father but he has the most amazing papa! I know he does nothing extra for my son then the other 9 of his grandkids but I couldn't picture my son having a better male role modle then my dad! He takes him on the four wheeler and lawn mower, fishing, everything dads do. So happy papas day to the awsome grandpa that are more then just a papa. I'm a mom and a dad but my dad is his male figure <3 just felt like sharing

Sounds like you two are both very lucky to have such an amazing man in your lives! He sounds wonderful

We are and he is! He's the biggest softy when it comes to the grandkids.

I'm in pretty much the same situation except I've been separated from my daughters dad since I was pregnant. He ever started coming around at all til she was about 8/9 months old, and he doesn't come around all that much. I wish he'd just go away though, he only comes around because he knows I hate it and that I hate him, and he likes to be controlling and cause problems.

My dad is the only "father" type figure in my daughters life too, though. She loves him. When asked she occasionally says papaw is her dad because he's the only decent man around(other than my grandpa which she calls pap) She says my ex is not her dad anymore (because he never comes to see her!!)

Kids are smarter then we know. My neices mother was like that and she said she isn't my mother, becky is. (My brothers wife now) anyone can make a child but it doesn't make them a parent. Be thankful u have such an awsome family to fill in the gaps he left. I'm glad we both have awsome dads :-)
