sex after having a baby

I had my baby a week ago ... i didnt rip or get cut when i was delivering... and i really just want to have sex. What would happen if i did????

You're very fertile right now for one and you need to give yourself some time to heal! So you didn't get any stitches? They advise you to wait 6 weeks for a reason so I would follow that. Atleast a few if you aren't going to wait the full six. But one week??

It is still going to be painful and you are extremely fertile right now!

Even though you didn't tear you still run a high risk of infection right now, too. I would wait.

They tell you 6 weeks for a reason.

& wtf, YOU JUST HAD A BABY.. why can't you just wait a few weeks.. you could harm yourseld.

I'm 6 weeks pp,didn't get any stiches either, and hubby and I tried to have sex a week ago, and then again last night, It STILL hurts! It's all the streching that makes it sore. So yup.. I would wait for sure.

I had my baby a week ago also and sex is the last thing on my mind.

LMFAO!!! That makes me think of what my hubby says about giving birth. It's like a St. Bernanrd trying to go through a doggie door meant for a Chihuaua(sp).

Me and my hubby were back to it 3 weeks PP, and we were cleared by my midwife. I also had no stitches. The important things are that you are no longer bleeding heavily (spotting is ok) your cervix is closed back up properly and you are no longer in pain. If your placenta site hasnt healed enough, it is an infection risk, not to mention things are still getting back to normal right now, and it probably would make your healing time longer. I would say just stick to the fun stuf that doesn't include anything going inside of you for another week or so and then talk to the doc. about it. If you get an exam and they clear you before the 6 weeks, then go for it!

  emm good luck with that one! Just to give you a head up my girlfriend got preggo with her second when her first was only 3 weeks!!!!!!!!
