re: SMOKING WEED WHILE PREG VS. SELF INDUCING BETWEEN 36W AND 37

LOL. I can clear that up for you!
Most of them tell you it's bad because it's illegal in most states. And that it hurts them sooo bad. Well, no it doesn't. Did you know that you MAKE THC and it's in breast milk?

Oh, and I smoked through my pregnancy. My daughter is perfectly fine.
My only problem was low amniotic fluids starting at 27 weeks because of my diabetes, and had to have a c-section at 37 weeks.

Everyone that I know and has smoked weed during their pregnancy, hasn't had any problems, unless it was genetic problems, like with me, asthma (starting at 5) and diabetes(at 10). Other then that I was born perfectly healthy, so was my daughter.

An article i found about smoking while pregnant. I didn't look very hard. Just googled it, clicked a link from a website i go to often, and pasted.

I couldn't find one about self induction before 36 weeks. All i found were self induction methods, but i can say that 90% of them did say that they weren't recommended until 37-38+ weeks. Such as this one:

Not every article you find online is going to be credible.
It says, "Studies have shown that children who were exposed to marijuana during pregnancy sometimes have problems focusing their attention and solving problems." How? When there have been NO studies done on this issue besides the one observed by Melanie Dreher.
Then it goes on to the "your pot might be laced" bullsmurf.
Definitely not a credible article in my opinion.

I will just go off of my own experience on this. My mom smoked weed the entire time she was pregnant with me. I was born on my due date, and was almost 9 pounds. I excelled in high school, and graduated with a 3.9 and was on honor roll.
My two kids, same thing. I smoked with them. Both were born on or after their due dates, both are extremely advanced as far as what's expected of them at any given age thus far, and both were healthy, perfect, and a hefty weight at birth. Neither one has exhibited signs of lacking in attention to details, or solving problems. My son is even learning addition at the moment, and grasping the concept, and he's only 5.
For me, smoking weed did nothing to inhibit my children or their development both in the womb, or out of it.

Is babycenter not credible or just really biased? I've looked at articles from there before and I've had mixed feelings about them.

Same with my DD. She was born the day before her due date, was over 7lbs, hit all her milestones early. DH and I always got complements how talkative and smart she was and people were shocked when we would tell them her age because they knew other kids around her age that couldn't say/do half the things she could. and i smoke the whole pregnancy

OP: saw this and thought of you lol....

and this one i just wanted to throw in there lol

A tad late, I know, but I figure my infinite medical knowledge would be of use here. Let me introduce myself, OP: I am Imhotep, physician extraordinaire to the great Pharaohs... I see you are inclined to believing that self-induction is a far superior parenting choice to exposing one's unborn to THC. Since you refuse to accept the diagnoses of my fellow posters due to their non-doctor status, I hope that you will permit me with my official BG PHD, bestowed upon me through my sheer awesome-smurfing-possumness, to prescribe for you the following:
