Her eye is swelling,but why?!

Okay yesterday my daughters eye started to swell up a lot and well I am wondering what it could be. I have an idea but i just want to make sure it is. Well i know no one can tell me for sure except for a doctor but i just want opinions. I have a cat and well my cat hasn't gotten anywhere near my daughter, but i think my daughter is allergic to my cat, because we also went to my in laws house and they have a dog and when we were there her eye swolled up bad. I think she is but i really don't know. And another thing while we were there my daughter had fleas on her. they dog has a lot of fleas and they told us that he didn't have any fleas anymore and etc. It just really made me mad that they wouldn't even bother to clean their dog up for us to go over there. But that's not the point here. I just want some opinions on what yall think, if she is allergic to animals.

Have you given her anything new to eat or drink lately? Or medication? If not I'd say it's an animal allergy, but definately call the pedi

well i gave her vitamins but they are the same ones she got at the hospital but before i gave her that vitamin her eye had already swollen up. but thank you! i will call the pediatrician

When my 1st boy was an infant, the skin under on of his eyes swelled. Went to the dr.'s and he said he had a blocked tear duct and I was told to massage it with a warm wet rag and I think he was given a Rx. Whatever it is, I hope your little one gets to feeling better soon.

Did she have her eye exame for ROP lately?

Well i mean i have some sali wipes that they gave me at the hospital and when i run her eyes the swelling goes away. huh i wonder if she has what you said. she goes to the pediatrician tomorrow. I just hope my baby gets better. she will be 2 months on the 18th

she had it about a week ago. She is going to have another in 2 weeks. could that be what's causing it. cause the one she about a week ago wasn't her first and her eyes didn't swell up when she had her first et exam

For the first one they don't usually use the evil wire things, but if her second one was a week ago, it probably isn't that either. I'd just talk to the pedi tomorrow about it. That stinks if she's allergic to your cat =(

That really would suck it she is allergic to the cat but if she is then the cat has to go. I just want my baby to feel better and she doesn't want to eat right either she hasn't had a bm in a day and a half already.

Is she on formula? When my son came home from the NICU he started going 6 days in between bowel movements!

Its allergesy thats what the dr told me when my babies swelled up damn texas heat......

so it could just be allergies. i really hope she isn't allergic to the cat cause man i love my cat but my daughter comes first. my doctor went to the pharmacy and they gave him some saline drops. Im scared to use them because on the box it said that it could cause irritation and temporary burning. I just don't know what to do.

Well she is on formula but i mean only at night when i don't get her breast milk ready for her. i am just worried you know. Im a first time mom
, so like everything worries me.

Yeah, being a first time PREEMIE mom is the worst. My first was also a 28 week preemie girl!
