WARNING TMI. But it hurts...

WARNING. TMI .... SERIOUSLY!

I went to the bathroom and when I wiped my ass the TP was COVERED in blood. Holy smurf I'm in pain. I'm not severely constipated, I go every other day or so but every time I go it's just a little bit, and it's hard and hurts...

So are there any OTC stool softeners that are safe during pregnancy?? Or any other advice you wanna give me that will make my life less painful!

TIA!

it sounds like hemorrhoids, I still have mine which I never had until I had my daughter and I've been told they will never go away, they will just flair up every now and then. For this pregnancy I've had them so bad I had to get a suppository from my doc to help with the inflammation and yes mine were bleeding but when I wipe its old blood that is being wiped away. My doc told me drink lots of water, stay off my feet, witch hazel wipes, prep H cream wont hurt on top of everything else, ice packs, heating packs, sit on a soft pillow and keep down there cleaner than what I'm doing so there will be no infection, also when I go in to have the baby in about 6 weeks they will flair up again so be prepared. I wish you luck, if its something you are very uncomfortable than talk to your doc they may have more to tell you

Colace! I HAVE to take 2 every 2 days. My body sucks down there lol, but it's a lifesaver. I still get stopped up, but even though it's safe during pregnancy I still wouldn't feel right taking it every day.

I'm not in pain though when I'm up and about, even wiping doesn't hurt. It's the act of pooping that hurts. But I def will eat fiber and drink water. Hopefully it won't get so bad that it hurts when I wipe or anything!!

Milk of Magnesia is safe during pregnancy, too. Its only a couple dollars at Wal-Mart. Its not the tastiest stuff, but it works.

I had the same EXACT thing happen when I was 14 weeks. I remembered my mom telling me she got hemroids when she was pregnant but that they hurt extremely bad, well, mine didn't. I called my on call Midwife and she said sometimes when they are internal they don't hurt at all. She told me to obviously drink as much water as possible but she told me to start taking a Probiotic, which would help my digestive system as well as LO's. I have been taking the Probiotic's from that day on and I haven't had one more problem.

This is the Probiotic my Midwife suggested:
