Recieved the biopsy results from my miscarriage in January.

It was determined that the embryo had male genes amd that it had an extra chromosome. It had 23 instead of 22 autosomes. It's depressing to hear that it would have been a boy as far as they could tell genetically. I also found out my body isn't absorbing birth control correctly so that is why I keep getting pregnant while on the pill.

I am sorry hun. I lost a baby in Feb. Mine was a girl and had a chromosome defect too. I found it a little easier to cope knowing what and why. Did you name your baby? We called ours D.J..

Sorry mama.   Did they give you any other suggestions for birth control?

I completed my m/c at home and brought my fetus in so I could have the answers. I had to know. I don't think I would of ever stopped wondering what happened to my baby if I hadn't.

I am so sorry for your loss... It is always good to have the answers but sometimes they are no help. When I got Lucas's autopsy, it just left even more questions that unfortunately will never be answered.

I'm so sorry for your loss. At least now you can hopefully have some closure and you won't always be wondering what happened.

Honestly, I think it does feel better to have answers. Personally, I know what caused my stillbirth and what the drs believe caused my miscarriages. It helps me feel a little more at ease about the idea of getting pregnant again.

OP- Im sorry for your loss. I hope the information brings you some closure.

I feel alot better knowing. It definitely gave me some closure that I didn't get with any of my other miscarriages. This was the first time I asked for answers. He suggested before we start TTC for me to take folic acid for 6 months prior.

For birth control until then he suggested I try Nuvaring.
