Maternity Clothes... You?

posted 16th Jun '12
When did you start wearing maternity clothes?

I'm 11 weeks and NONE of my old clothes fit me. I'm in maternity clothes now and have been in them since last week.

When did you start wearing maternity clothes?

I'd say about 12 weeks...

I didn't start wearing maternity clothes, but I did transition to more dresses, and the leggings and anything with a loose fit elastic band... I bought a few things I did not have, But they are the type of stretchy clothes that I will wear afterwards....

Probably close to 14-15ish weeks. I was still able to fit into some of my clothes until was like probably 28ish weeks, I just wasn't able to button them. Then after that, my hips got wider and I couldn't fit into them, still can't.

I bought some when I was 19 weeks, but I bought very little even then. I gained most of my weight in my belly, from behind you couldn't tell that I was pregnant. I bought bigger flowy tops and those tights/leggings since my legs were still small. I can't fit into womens sizes, they're too big on me.

I have some pants from last time.... but I went to the thrift store and just bought a few maternity shirts for work. Also I got the cutest maxi dress that I can wear now, all through pregnancy and after the spawn is born!!

YOGA PANTS! I live by those!

last time, I had a few shirts and just did the rubber band thing with my jeans/pants. This time I'm goiing to buy long tunic type shirts, and I have a friend who owns a consignment shop and I'm raiding her maternity.

I'm due Jan 8th-ish and still in my regular clothes, but for the past two weeks I've been so bloated it's on/off... I think this summer I'll stick with rubber band trick with my shorts/capris and buy a few longer/larger shirts, and then for the winter see what happens.

I went to Kohls to check out their maternity selection and DAMN it was like $30-40 a piece! Wtf.

I needed to go to wally world and get some yoga pants.... They are on sale because of the season change....

I was so upset that the Kohls near me didn't carry any maternity. Target had slim pickings and Old Navy didn't carry maternity, so I had to go to Motherhood.

I am super short, only 5 feet tall. So my normal jeans are on my belly (but still bellow the belly-button) and the rubber band digs in to my stomach. I have one pair pregnancy jeans that look cute from when I was pregnant last time. Besides that, I've got a ton of yoga pants! I envy anyone who can do the rubber-band trick comfortably!!

I didnt think about ON.. I'll have to check there. IDK if I'm just really cheap, but $40 for a shirt that's not even that cute was beyond ridiculous. We don't have a motherhood store   We have a huge target and a super kmart, so I think I'll check there, too. But I have a feeling it'll be almost all consignment shop stuff, because I just refuse to pay that much for a shirt I can wear for like 5 months lol.

Ack, I'm tall so mine ride realllly low normally - it would be so uncomfortable that high! I have one pair of really high rise jeans and I've abandoned them to the dresser lol. I only have one pair of yoga pants, but since I can't see a conflict with work, maybe I'll get a few more pairs.. there's a teeny-bopper store that sells them in business casual styles, which is neat - the jean styles are horrendous IMO lol.

I don't buy any maternity clothes new... except for maybe one shirt or one thing.... but I won't pay more than $10 for it.

I go thrift store shopping! I don't see a point in spending money on a wardrobe you're going to wear for a few months!

The jeans I have look like boot cut jeans.... just the top comes up to under my boobs and is all stretchy!     But damn they are comfy!

I've been looking for another pair but cannot find them anywhere!
