labor story....

Well, My last post was a question about being 4 cm and 90% effaced....and then that weekend....My water broke!! Sunday morning April 20th at 9:13 a.m. my water broke, It wasn't a goosh just drizzeling so I went ahead and went to church and figured if the contractions got hard I would go to the hospital...well...The contractions were never hard so I went to lunch then around 3:30 p.m. I went to the hospital I was a 5cm they let me labor for 26 hours with no change, I wanted to do this labor 100% natural. After the 26th hour a nurse came in and she was in "what the heck is the problem mode" and realized I had 2 BAGS OF WATER...Yeah, I'm a freak show. SO they broke my 2nd water bag and let me labor 2 more hours to see if it would intensify. It didn't! So I concented to 2 drops of Pitocin every minute still with no epidural or anything. It triggered labor!!! After dialating to a 8 1/2 I told my midwife I HAD to push...she said I could but to listen to her when she told me to stop or slow down. My 7 lb boy was delivered through 8 1/2 cm and was pretty bruised up. But All is well now!!
After delivery I lost A LOT of blood, passed out, apparently was un responsive, All my veins collapsed and they couldn't get an IV in me. Then they finally did and within 20 min all was well.
So there it is....Dunkan Pierce was born on April 21, 2008 7lb even and was 18 1/2 in long, Delivered at 38 weeks, at 4:00 p.m. He is Beautiful!!!!

ahh scary!! but congrats!! how exciting... i have a ? tho, since your aready past your 1st week. Did you get the baby blues?

No, the 3rd one was a LOT less emotional than the first 2. I had to stay in the hospital a few extra days for his jaundice and them wanting to watch me. Then I went to my hometown in Oklahoma for a few days...just now having the time to get on here. lol
