When should i start leaking?

posted 15th Jun '12
I'm just curious, i feel like my breasts started leaking alot sooner with my first pregnancy, i'm almost 28 weeks, and a couple weeks ago i had a clear substance come out of one of my nipples but it was only a tiny bit, and nothing since then. Around what time should i start getting colostrum?

I was the same as you. With my first pregnancy, I started leaking real early, 20 something weeks. Leaked the whole rest of the time. But with my second, I NEVER leaked.

Yeah i remember being very early in my pregnancy with my first, but so far, nothing, i'm not complaining, but i am thinking of breastfeeding this time and hope to not have any issues with my milk supply or anything.

I just started a few days ago and I am 24 weeks, almost 25. It's usually in smaller amounts for me though.

Just got back from my breast feeding class and not all women leak and it can change for each pregnancy. Before baby is born we leak pre-term milk which is actually very very high in protein and fat for a pre term baby, at around 37-40 weeks is when the colostrum comes in.
