F***in' Laws on Child Support

I wish that if you could prove that someone was willingly and purposefully avoiding paying his child support you could legally get that person's parental rights involuntarily terminated in Idaho. As it is, I can't even deny visitation. He gets her every other weekend and I don't get a single goddamn dime.

Plus if he isn't going to pay or be a good dad I'd like my fiance adopt her. All he does is pick her up and drop her off at his mom's for the weekend.

Why is he not paying?

There's a reason custody and child support are seperate.

Because he doesn't want to. I have a child support order and a case that is enforced (per my request). He just gets under the table jobs so he can't get his wages garnished.

He sounds like my ex-husband. I am just glad to know that he can afford new phones for everyone in his family and cigarettes but doesn't pay child support.

I know. And I also understand the reasoning behind it all. It just gets really frustrating when he doesn't spend "his" time with her and he doesn't financially support her either. He originally didn't want to see her at all but his mom freaked out. If he was a good dad it probably wouldn't bother me as much but he's not. Plus I am constantly having to listen to horrible things and tell people that if they see his mom being HORRIBLE to my daughter to call CPS not tell me.

Mine can afford a brand new tattoo that goes up his entire arm.

All that money adds up, as soon as he files taxes or gets a job, you will start getting money.

It's ridiculous.

Ugh, that sucks. I remember when my mom stopped paying child support on us when we were younger (all $21 every two weeks for 4 kids back in 2003). They took her driver's license away. I think the state of NY was basically like, if you wanna work and not pay; we are gonna take your driver's license away. Have fun making money now! And she couldn't get a job for very long after that because she couldn't get around. At least we knew if we were getting any $ this time, my mom wasn't either.

This is true, and maybe I'll get something from my ex's tax return next year.

My ex doesn't want to screw with me when it comes to taxes, though. He learned his lesson REALLY quickly.

You should seriously report that he is not spending the time with her, that all he does is drop her at his mothers, unless there are grandparent rights in your state she has none. at least here in fl there is no grandparent rights at all. He will get his visitation taken away. You need to start documenting things so you can have a case

No, he won't have his visitation taken away.

The grandmother isn't asking for custodial rights, she is looking after her grandchild at the behest of the child's father....
