Brain Tumor

I was diagnosed today with a brain tumor. It's probably benign and called a meningioma.

Has anyone ever had one or known someone who has?

I have to meet with a neurosurgeon and I'm about to throw up I am so nervous.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear that! I don't know anyone with that specific cancer, but I do know that it's a tumor on the outside of your brain (the meninges), rather being inside of your brain, so I would think that it's fairly easy to operate on!

My uncle just passed from brain cancer.

my cousin had this. It was benign and they did surgery and it was the size of a lemon, she recovered from it and that was 7 years ago and she is doing great. The surgery was hard on her because she had headaches for a while (6 months) but now she is healthy as can be! Sorry you are having to go through this

was diagnosed with thyroid cancer back in December, had surgery to remove my thyroid. No brain tumors here, I wish I could be more helpful

A guy my hubby worked with had the same type of tumor, but he had to go to Hawaii to have it removed, since they don't have the resources here, so IDK what became of that.

my dad had one! he fainted one day in his office and hit his head on the corner of his desk. they did a brain scan, or cat scan and found a big ol tumor. they said it had been growing all his life and had recently just gotten big enough to cause some damage (aka making him faint). he had brain surgery and is back to being healthy as a horse! good luck momma!

i got the radiology report and it says it's a 1 cm x 1.3 cm x .7 cm lesion overlying the right superior temporal lobe. i have been dizzy, falling and my memory has been very impaired.

i need to find a doctor now. this is crazy
