They're the perfect age to enjoy summer! That is a huge plus.

My daughter is a Feb baby, and it really does suck, lol. Not only is it cold and crappy, but it's also in the middle of sick season. In fact, she was sick on her birthday this year.
The only plus for her, is her birthday is on Valentine's Day, so she gets to have a birthday/V-day special, and it's fun.
My son's birthday is in September, and weather permitting we have a big cookout party for him. He is literally the only summer birthday in our family, so we take full advantage of that.

Quoting REAPER:" Is that a good thing? I don't understand?"
Yes! I wasn't able to celebrate my birthday with my school friends because mine is at the end of June. I was jealous of all the kids who got to celebrate their birthday's at school and had parties at school.

Well I guess we're just going to make the best of it. I was excited that family holiday time is okay but still I also know people get sick a lot... and I WILL be a bitch and tell them If you're sick DON"T COME!
If someone is sick they really shouldn't be at a family gathering any way but.....

my oldest son was born on November 18th 2007 and every year for his birthday we have a weenie roast and fall festival kinda thing for his birthday. IT is really awesome for everyone to come hang out and stay and have fun in a relaxed atmosphere and not have to be rushed. It doesn't cost much either. HE really enjoys it a lot.

Oh! I know!
You get to have some lazy snuggle and stay at home time with the baby for the first 4-5 months. Then the nice weather will come around and you can get active again outside with baby.
Better then being stuck inside with a newborn all summer then stuck inside all winter until spring finally comes.

Quoting REAPER:" I guess that is one thing good because EVERY one will want pictures... OIY."
Makes giving gifts easier the first year. Get some family pictures done, or just pictures of you new little one. Get some frames and give them as gifts. The first year of baby is expensive enough.

DD was born Jan 1.
this baby is due dec 3.
I love winter babies.
for one, they're alive - which is nice after myself having so many miscarriages - i'm thankful for that.
for two - it doesnt really matter theres always fun stuff to do.

the positives are maybe snow on birthday and you get to snuggle together and by the time summer comes u can go out and do more rather than worrying when babies gonna want feeding and not being able to go to far etc i have 2 summer babies and will now have 2 winter babies and havent found any of them negative

My 7 year old was born Jan 6th, and this baby is due Nov 1st. right there at the end of my pregnancy i did a 180 on germs, i freaked out alot! didnt want to take the baby out, didnt want anyone to come inside my home. to my entire family my babys face was a secret. i was so scared for him to get sick. everyone i came in contact with was a potential germ machine, with germs of the worst kind- i thought- The main thing about having a baby in winter is it is a long way till bathing suit season agian, enjoy the cold nights and days, just bond with your baby and be sure to breast feed, its a extra immunity boost for your newborn to protect them from the horrible illnesses they can pick up during the cold and flu season. i myself am trying to remain calm about my upcomming winter due date, wishing you the best.

I believe it depends on the person! Me and my husband both were born in November, and Autumn and Winter are our favorite seasons! Also, our baby is due November 12th. If you're a Summer person, you're probably not going to find much positives, other than that your baby will be ready for the Summer time so you and he/she can both do activities like pool time or going to the beach or just playing around out in the yard. MY personal pros of having a cold weather baby- having the cutest Christmas photos, and being around family on the holidays, you're probably going to have everyone wanting to hold and have everything to do with the new baby, so it gives you a break! Warm snuggle time, cutest holiday baby clothes, getting to celebrate their first Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Years so soon. And also if you ARE a Summer person they will be ready. Cons: I can't think of any other than you wont be able to take them outside as much, but sometimes you may not want to go out there yourself.

My oldest daughters birthday is in July and let me tell you, It is most of the time wayyy to hot outside to be in the heat especially for a two you old and a pregnant momma! I have another little girl on the way due in Nov. and i'm pretty excited about it.

The perfect excuse to stay indoors and warm with the baby! Family is already gathered to give a bday party! Smaller bday parties in the future since indoors and that much easier to manage!
My sister had her girl right before Thanksgiving and we all gatherered there for the holiday. Then her son came before Christmas and we all gathered there again.
I am a positive person though and look for the silver lining in everything. My first is a Feb baby, second is going to be a summer baby (31 weeks now). I am thankful they are 6 mos apart on birthdays and can plan them out with special attention paid to each child. No sharing basically.

DD was a January baby and at first I was really bummed but now i love it. She'll get to celebrate her birthday during the school year (I have a summer birthday and half of my friends would forget it ), When she was really tiny and couldn't interact or really play it was cold out so we could just snuggle inside but now that it's getting warm out she can play with toys, interact, and I can put sunscreen on her so we can go have fun at the beach. Newborn winter outfits are really really cute. I'm glad she was a winter baby.
