Quoting summerbabyX2:" With my 2nd it was soooooooo much easier! The hardest part was taking care of my 2 year old. And I was ... [snip!] ... my csection scheduled for May 25th and I think it was scheduled around 36 weeks, it was 2 years ago so I may be wrong on that."
Quoting Paula Cutright:" Im 29 weeks, 30 on Monday... and im thinking of having a c-section. I had one with my daughter 5 years ... [snip!] ... c-section, and for the mommies who have had a c-section 2 or more times, was the 2nd time around easier then the 1st?"39 weeks is when they will usually schedule a repeat c-section. I have had two repeat c-sections (my first was an emergency) and I can tell you the recovery is MUCH easier. The whole experience is actually better, IMO. You know what to expect, you haven't been in labor for hours so you're not overly exhausted from that. I would pick a repeat c-section any day of the week. (I had an unplanned VBAC as well...while the recovery was easier, the whole birth experience wasn't my favorite.) JMO.
