he's a year old?

Hmmm try giving some fruit to him. Prune juice works too. My son got constipated all the time.

try taking a Q-tip dip it in vasaline and try to rub some right inside his but. It may stimulate him to poop a little bit.

A warm bath could help.

massaging his tummy and bicycling his legs.

he will be annoyed because it probably hurts but it's the best thing to help move things along.

He may have a milk allergy...but that CAN be normal too.

Baby jar foods prunes, peaches ETC...Applesauce they can all help with constipation.

My pedi has us give our daughter plain pear juice for constipation.

He also said that apple juice can sometimes harden up their poop too. It can work both ways.

That's how my little girl was. Her pediatrician reccommended 2% milk. Every since we switched she has been fine.

My son, Carter, is 14 months old and occassionally does this thing where all he wants all day is oatmeal and bananas (he REALLY likes them both) and he'll poop around 3 times a day doing that. Not 100% sure wether it's the oatmeal or bananas that do it but, either way, he has NO pooping issues afterwards.

By the way, he had some diarea(sp?)/constipation issues at first with whole milk to but he handles it just fine now so just hang in there!
