Do strange things ever happen in your home?

posted 14th Jun '12
In my moms house weird things happen ....on Christmas, my brother was standing at the top of the stair looking over into the living room, DH was outside getting something and the rest of us were sitting in the living room talking, all of a sudden the Ham (That was sitting in the middle of a cabinet) crashed to the floor!! there was no one around it and there was no earthquake or anything that could have caused it.
Another time my DS was spending the night over there and couldn't find his transformer that he wanted to sleep with, well he was screaming and crying (He was 2) and neither mom or him could find it . Finally DS just falls asleep and mom goes to check on him and there is his trasformer sitting right on top of the blanket on his chest.
Or one time my mom's friends 5 year old little girl was standing in front of the house with her mom and my mom, all of a sudden she starts waving and smiling at the upstairs window, her mom asks who she is waving at and she says "there is a boy up there, waving at me"
Those are only 3 of the many things that have happened at moms, she thinks it's my younger brother who died, she says he is visiting her and watching over her, so when something weird happens she just says "Hi Jeff" and the weird things stop!!

I've had things like this happen to me too!!

My phone will randomly have a missed call from my brother(Who died, 3 years ago...I just never deleted his number)

Or I was looking for my USB for my IPOD and my husband was putting things in the washer when all if a sudden it fell from the shelf above him and hit him in the head (There is NO REASON my USB would be on the shelf above the washer)

Or on night, we were watching a moving and no one was in the kitchen all of a sudden the pepper crashed off the cabinet!! and smashed all over the kitchen (So it didn't just roll of it FLEW off)

Any weird things ever happen to you???

not really. But my cousin's son committed suicide a couple of years ago and she is still obviously grieving. Sometimes she posts about it on FB, and posted once that she was sitting there talking to him saying "I wish i knew you were in pain, I just wish I could know you are okay" and a broken string of decorative lights that i guess they have hung in their living room turned on for a minute or two. But it was definitely broken, but she felt it was him telling her he was okay.   nothing like that has really happened to me but i do believe thay they send us little messages.

The other night i was babysitting my niece, i put her in bed, it was dark and all she had was milk and a blanket... I left my door open just in case she started crying and 10 minutes later, i heard her laughing her butt off then she would go "nooo!" and then laugh a lot more. Little while after that she started screaming and calling for me.. I got her in my room and she stared at the wall and pointed. It was pretty creepy lol

If I wasnt on my phone I'd have a lot to tell you! Weird stuff follows me. If I was on the computer I'd have out follows in italics lol

The most recent I can think of is about 3 weeks ago we were on vacation. I was in the living room of our condo alone. I sat on the couch reading a magazine. The glass table next to me was where I laid my phone. it randomly flew halfway across the room and slid under another table. The table it was on was a glass top table with bamboo ridges so it couldn't have slid off. DH and DS were sleeping in the other room. Totally creeped me out

There have been several things that have happened in our house. Hearing footsteps. Dishes clanking, stuff being thrown from shelves, and my son seems to notice things. His grandmother (my SO's mom) and his great grandfather ( SO's grandpa) passed away before he was born and I think they are here sometimes.

Yeah, my SO said one morning after me and my son went to the bus stop he woke up hearing some kind of creepy laugh that wasn't us (we were outside 5 mins prior) and wasn't the landlord (she lives in the other half of our duplex and already gone to work at the time). Sometimes I hear the floor and/or steps creaking like someone's walking around, seems like sometimes it's the landlord on her side but others it sounds like its right outside my open bedroom door and i know it's not my son or SO. Like a week ago me and SO were watching a movie late at night, and my son was at his dad's, when all of a sudden we heard a very loud noise. It sounded like it was either in the kitchen or maybe just upstairs. We searched the whole place and nothing had fell down or was misplaced. SO said he thought it was a cabinet slamming shut in the kitchen but none were open before that. Apparently years ago when SO's dad lived here he saw his friend's ghost in the garage (landlord's husband who passed away years before that). And when SO was a kid growing up here, their German Shepard used to sit at the bottom of the steps staring up, barking, and growling when nobody was up there.

Lol and SO wonders why I can't sleep sometimes and the basement and garage creep me out!

Lots of odd things happen with my family...I'm almost certain my grandfather is following my mom around, I'm also fairly certain that DH's dad, my meme, and my grampy have been around me too, and 2 of my dogs...my oldest used to see a "family" when we were living in a different apartment they scared the crap out of him...and my dd will talk to the wall/ceiling and laugh at nothing...and she'd smile at something just over her dad's shoulder when she was a few months old...sometimes she makes kissy faces at the hallway when I'm talking about my grampy...but never any time else...I've had scary things happen in places I've been (well most people would think they're scary...I don't) I guess I'm just used to having weird s**t happening in my life lol
