re: Men At Baby Shower

Men have been at every baby shower I have ever attended. Its great to get them involved in the games. generally there is enough of them so that if they wanted to they can go elsewhere to hang out with "just the guys"

I am definitely having men at my shower this is a celebration and men buy really good gifts plus I dont want my SO being the only man there how uncomfortable for him

I had men at mine. Only my cousins bf participated. SO and his friends had nothing to do with it.

They do have some of the best gifts. They generally dont really know what to get so they end up getting some of everything lol

The ones at mine brought hard liqour for my husband, and their wives brought me a present.
I was like 'just what I need, a drunk husband.' Lol.

I think SO should be there (he wants to be there but he's working nights & will be asleep - so it's not even an option. which sucks). But in regards to other men , I didn't want them to be like "fml" the entire time ! hahaha. I just didn't think men even wanted to go to baby showers. It was just a woman's event.

i had my husbands friends there & it went pretty good. don;t expect the men to want to stay in & watch you the whole time though they get pretty bored lol if you do co-ed do like a cookout/small dinner like cheap & easy because we all know men like to eat lol

or money hell my baby shower is gonna be the bomb I am a great party planner for my self lol I have never planned any one elses. I want people to have fun and celebrate my child and I have so many guy froends. At my cousin baby shower the men played the game where you drink out the baby bottle lol they filled them with beer and the winner won shot glasses.

Don't invite men then. If your SO isn't coming, I wouldn't.

i told my mom i couldn't handle that many females w out some men around lol & when i wasnt eatting or opening gifts i was outside w them but so was their wives & girlfriends the older people tend to stay inside lol

I wanted to invite men, but no guys wanted to come so it ended up just being girls. But I think in this day and age its perfectly acceptable to have men at a shower

Invite them if you wanna invite them.

I had mine on Sunday, and made it co-ed. I even had drinking games for the guys and any ladies that wanted to join. It was a ton of fun. I invited 4 guys, and 8 came (including SO).
