SmUrfING KID.

posted 13th Jun '12
My son is 5, FIVE.

FIVE... 5. F I V E.

YOU GET THE POINT RIGHT.

I had to go to the "bathroom" to do number 2. I seriously cant smurf when hes taking a nap so this smurf doesnt happen...

Well to give you info... we have 3 bathrooms in the house. One downstairs, which is broken and 2 upstairs. Well.. since the downstairs has been broken, he has been using the one that Iwas in. Well I came downstairs sneakly got back on here, posted the topic about is it bad that I am getting used to not having sex... when he sees me and says "YOU made me pee myself."

I said WHAT. He said You made me pee myself on the couch and on the floor. because you wouldnt let me into the bathroom that you were in.
I said you could have gone into the other one. He said no it was too dark.

He comes in front of me, I see his jean shorts they are peed.

OMFG. I feel bad that I yelled and smacked his ass. But smurf, Im sick of it. He only uses ONE bathroom in this house and its the downstairs one. He wont piss or smurf anywhere else but the downstairs one.

I dont know what to do. Im trying to clean the house for my grandmother who is coming home next week and now I have to detour and clean piss off of the smurfing couch.

Im BEYOND sick of this.

He took a smurf outside a couple days ago because I wouldnt let him use the downstairs one, and I told him to go upstairs.

He has been smurfing PT'd since 3 years old.

Man, that has to be frustrating. Five is too old to be doing that. Maybe it's an anxiety/OCD thing, that he can only go in one specific toilet? Will he use public restrooms?

SO's DD is 5 and is the same way. At her grandma's house last weekend I was putting my DD to sleep and she walks in and says she had to pee, I said go downstairs and pee, she refused and started crying. I didn't budge on it, we were alone in the house I told her she had to go on her own because I was putting her sister to sleep (She spends ALOT of time in her grandma's house so its not like some new scary place). Well... she just cried and peed herself. I made her take off her pants and hand wash them. (I machine washed them later but that was her punishment, she knew damn well what she was doing.)

My son is 8 and still has accidents. Hes special needs though, but most of his accidents are because of his refusal to take himself away from what hes doing. Its frustrating as all hell.

Its gotten to the point one time he would purposly poop to get out of math class in school.

that is what he did. we have been living in this house for so many years. it pisses me off to no end. I sent him to bed. half naked not giving a smurf about anything. Idk what to do.
And I know it will only get worse when my grandmother comes up because she will either coddle him or tell him that he embarrasses her [which she has done MANY times].

I think at that point I'd make him clean it up.

If it was one or two times I could MAYBE understand it. But we have only one bathroom and Eden knows how to wait her turn.

I think you're overreacting. Children that age are creatures of habit and routine. Hell, even I only use one bathroom in the house, even though we have three (not that'd I'd piss my pants if I couldn't). I think you just need to keep reminding him that he has to go in the ones upstairs and try not to get frustrated with him. He may just need to be reminded and told it's OK and not scary to use the other bathrooms.

trust me I am not overreacting. he flips out about things at least once an hour. I fight with him with this so many times during the day. a few months ago he started peeing on the floor because he didnt like it. He would put smurf in the toliet, and dip his underwear nad clothes in his poop.
