NOOO! I just started to ramble! I didn't mean anything like that. I was just kinda thinking to myself about rosies mission class and how very well behaved Claire's children were that I kind of trailed off a little bit.

YOU ARE RIGHT BUT THIS SHOULD APPLY TO EVERY ONE.
IF I COMPLAIN ABOUT RACISM, AS I DID IN MY AMERIKKKA THREAD, I AM TOLD THAT I DONT KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT AND GET OVER IT. YET A WHITE PERSON SAYS IT AND IT IS AGREED.

Very unfortunate but very true. Humans tend to put themselves on a much higher peg than we should. Judging just comes naturally. We do it without even realising it most of the time.

Yeah? What's your point? It points to the low socioeconomic status, which is compounded by droping out of high school and not going on to receive higher education. It's a vicious circle that I feel needs to be broken, but to say that blacks are treated differnetly education wise just because they're black is rediculous. Blacks who live in better areas recieve better education because there is more revenue from property taxes comming in, so it would be good to assume that people who live in urban areas have less revenue comming in and thus less money to support schools. The problem is not racial, it's economic.

Well in MY experience people blame it on their socioeconomic status. NOT BECAUSE WE ARE BLACK. I guess a lot of people think all black people are the same. No matter what race, there are people who are ignorant. I don't appreciate people saying "BLACK PEOPLE" as if all black people do that. I attend one of the best schools in the country and I didn't come from a good high school. But I guess I got here by leaning on the goverment.

I NEVER DISAGREED WITH MOST OF WHAT U SAY. IM SAYING URBAN AREAS ARE MOSTLY BLACK POPULATED THATS WHY THEY FEEL THAT WAY
THEN U MUST ALSO LOOK INTO WHY THOSE AREAS ARE MOSTLY POPULATED BY BLACKS

I think it was probably more of leaning on your brains and your need to strice for excellence. You should be proud of what you have done. I want to go back to school but I don't have the balls. I'm afraid they'll eat me alive.

I never said you got there by leaning on the government, and the fact that you are in a good school after comming from a "bad" high school even furthers my point: the problem with predominatly black schools and black drop out rate is completely economic and social, not a problem with the schools themselves. IMO, choices and parental involvement are key to breaking the cycle of poverty and uneducation.

I think we can all agree that racism is very real, and is experienced by all races to a degree.Nobody wans to be judged based on their skin color,.and yet some people insist on living up to stereoypes just to fit in to what they're expected to act, dress, talk like.I think if more people were just themselves, instead of being what socirty thinks they are, race relations would be much easier.I do think that special schools for urban kids are a good idea-there is a definite education problem in urban areas which needs urgent fixing-although calling it black focused is just going to cause problems for everyone. I dont know that anyone on either side of the issue can support that without any doubts.

Thats true, Whites are actually the victims of more hate crimes these days then any other group because its considered perfectly fine for any other group to call racism but not them. Whites cant "be on the governments ass" because they dont get anywhere. The get the "your white so deal with it yourself" as a response a LOT.
