we can barely afford toilet paper right now. We're going off only 1 week of work on a paycheck because i was in the hospital for a week and our rent was due this week. So we're hurting for the next 2 weeks.

Yep fluids is important and just watch out for a fever 100 or over cuz a fever can cause babies heart rate to go up. I'm currently sick right now. Almost feels like the flu :/..

I had an appendicitis when i was 18 weeks pregnant! It was horrible. I went into the hospital knowing what it was cause i know exactly what it is but because im not a professional, they had to run tests. First they did an ultrasound but couldnt find anything, they said baby had moved things. Then they tested my blood and urine and everything came out fine. And they wouldnt do a ct scan since i was pregnant and the pain was just unbearable. I was throwing up from the pain and was so scared for my baby! Finally they said Okay lets just take out your appendix and pray thats the problem its our last resort. Sure enough it was just about to rupture! Scariest time of my life and my first surgery ever. I could barely walk for a week and threw up for like 3 days. My SO had to help dress me and move around. I hated the idea of being sick so much so i barely even took any of the oxycodone they gave me. Sorry for the novel but i like sharing my story it makes me proud of my strong little baby for going through it with me!

its a good story, they gave me oxycodone when i was in the hospital with my kidney infection, it was horrible, i doubt as bad as that but pain killers hardly do anything for me, they started me off on 1000 mg of tylenol and that didnt work so they gave me loratab and that didnt work they said the only other thing they could give me was the oxycodone and that worked just long enough to get more.

Any kind of issue like that sucks during pregnancy! well pregnant or not but being pregnant just makes it scarier and smurffier lol. They had me hooked up to small doses of morphine but it didnt do anything for me.

god i wish they wouldve gave me morphine lol that knocks me out. When i was in the hospital at 18 weeks they gave me morphine.

Yeah and like the only reason i went to the hospital is because i was having contractions. i was in AL fixin to be heading back to NC, a 6 hour car drive! and i was gonna try to make it back but i was just in SO much pain the girl who was coming with me had her mom check me out when they got to my house, her moms an RN, and she said i NEED to go to the hospital. Then they were gonna let me go home and i spiked a 102.7 fever, it was horrible! i couldn't shower for 3 days and was like laying in my own sweat from getting a fever then the fever breaking and getting a fever and the fever breaking again.

I was SOOOOOO happy when they unhooked me from the IV's and told me i could shower lol, and i got to change out of the hospital gown that i really didnt wear cause i was SOOOOO hot when my fever would break! When i would get up to go pee i just wrapped the gown around me like a towel lol

Man that doesnt sound fun.
When i had my appendix taken out, i only stayed one night and they sent me home even though i felt i needed to stay longer. I didnt shower for a week   It was gross. My boyfriend helped me bathe with a warm wash cloth covered in soap. They told me not to get my 3 incisions wet so i was afraid to shower.

I was really lucky to have such a great ER doctor. All my test were normal too, then the Doctor said the only way to know for sure was to do an MRI. They left it up to me and I did it, thank God to because mine was about to burst as well. Really after a certain point in pregnancy the risk of those test diminish drastically. I figured it was better to know what was going on while I was there than to go home and come back. They gave me some really strong pain killers that I didn't like taking but I just took them as needed. I would not allow them to give me a bunch of medication at first, I eased into it. The only complaint I have now is that my scars hurt from my stretching skin LOL.

Did you have pains in your side after wards? I did for a month. I kept thinking something was really wrong but they stopped and i felt so relieved. It would last all day long

okay i have to say this i have a full on open incission from mine they could not find it so they had to go in and find mine, when everyone see's it i have to explane why its that and not the lioscopic way... Sucks but they kept me for 3 more days on morpine in the hospital i was not pregnant at the time. My scar hurt when i got pregnant with my son and sometimes it randomaly hurts.

I however was going to have a CT when i was 4 weeks because of pheminoa because they wanted to make sure no blood clots but because i had one right before i got preggo they decided against it and to just amit me and put me on IV antibotics

Hmm my scars never hurt me. Sometimes the bottom one gets irritated and kinda stings but not that bad.
I have a fat cut above my belly button, a smaller one on my left side, and one right above my bikini line

mine was explorty surgery and so i have a like 2 in scar where they went in.... I even have scars from the staples.

I have 3 scars. One above belly button, one upper right tummy and one upper left tummy. They had to do mine high because the baby was already higher up in my belly due to being that far along. They hurt from time to time from stretching. My side does hurt, but that is because the baby has been in there kicking and growing so I figure it is just tender. The doctors where I live like to avoid the surgery if possible, that is why we tried all the other test first. Also they really don't want to give medication if you don't need it while prego so they were cautious about it. I am just glad everything went so well, although the surgeon was confidant, he was honest that he really couldn't give me the assurance that the baby would make it through the anesthesia. Luckily everything was fine and I got to go home 2 days later with some pain killers to help me sleep.
