First time that ever happened

So the other day I went out to eat with my mom and sister, and I brought the monster along. He was chatting up the waitress, and she was like "He's so cute, how old is he?" And so I told her he is almost 4.

She said "Oh wow, he's so tiny!"

  I've never heard that before ever. He is 42 inches tall and weighs 41 pounds lol. He is just now starting to slow down, and he has always been at the top for his age range. I think he is around the 85th percentile right now, but since about 6 months he's been consistently between 90-95th.

She said her son is 6 months younger and way bigger. He must be part giant lol

my 2 year old is 41'' tall and about 37lbs ...hes always been bigger than children his age

I get that all the time by my son really is small for his age
we were at the store one time and he was walking holding daddy's hand n an old couple stopped us asking how old he was I said almost 2 and they looked at me in shock lol they said he was so small he didn't look old enough to be walking I just laughed and then my son proceeded to take off pushing the cart alone haha so that was the end of that conversation

But you know that, you know? It was just weird that she thought he was tiny... why not just think her own kid was big? lol

DD is in the 20-25% for height and weight, and i have people all the time tell me "oh, she's so tall", i just look at them like they're crazy because she's always the smallest one when she's around other kids her age.

Sounds like he's on track to be like my son 5 yrs old and 42 lbs and 46.5 inches. That lady's son must be huge I think. Cuz even when we go to the school playground, if there are other kids outside, I have to make sure to round him up when they start to line up their kids because inevitably someone will grab him and try to take him into the school and figure out what grade 2 class he's from

very true lol i remember when DS was 3 months old and i had him on my hip walking around and i saw a baby, looked no older than 3 weeks old and i asked the mama how old he was and she said 2 months, i was like goddamn my kid is huge...she was still supporting his neck and everything and here i am with a baby on my hip lol
