post pregnancy weight loss(GIVE ME YOUR ADVICE please)
posted 6th May
I am 8 days post pregnancy- and I lost only six lbs when I was in the hospital when my son was born, I have lost a little weight since then, about ten more pounds, but I am depressed because I am still 25 pounds away from my pre pregnancy weight.
I know everyone is different, but I was just curious how fast people (you guys) lost the pregnancy weight, and what helped you if anything. I think I am gettin kinda obsessed with this because to me I look sooo FAT! And I was not fat before. I was 132 pre preg, 174 at birth, and am 158 now.
ANY advice or stories will hepl. thanks
~JENNIFER

everyone is different, this time around I have turned into a freak of nature and am already in my PP clothes and Jaylen is 11 days old, all that after a c-section, but with my others it took up to a year.

Breastfeed if you can b/c it not only benefits the baby but you burn 200 calories every feeding...which is why you have to eat like you're pregnant again LOL so that helps A TON. but if you can't or don't want to that's fine too (don't want to be one of those ladies that says breast feed or else lol) just eat healthy, take walks daily and once you're ready get into a good exercise routine. it might not all go away but some of it could
good luck <3 .

I've lost 52lbs since/while being pregnant. I didn't gain any weight while I was preggers, actually lost 14lbs, I'm BFing and my daughter will be 4 weeks on thursday.
I eat small meals to keep me full, and just walk. It's the frequent meals that keeps your metabolism burning!!

i think breast feeding is the only thing that has helped me lose that ten lbs.

good luck to you, I really hope that you can lose the weight you want too! I see everyone is a little different with losing and gaining weight during pregnancy. Its not easy having your body morph into something so different right before your eyes.

i'd love to be 158 thats really close to my weight before the kids.
with my second i gained 42lbs and lost 33 of it by 2wks pp. i did nothing to lose it. by 6wks i lost it pretty much most of it. but sadly gained some back. blah. anyway your only 8days pp give it the full 6wks before you know your actual weight loss. with your uterus still going down abd your blood it all varies from person to person

I haven't gotten there yet but I will be soon. MOst of the books say not to even worry until 6 weeks pp and that itcan take as long as 6 -12 months to get to your Prepreggo weight with normal exercise. Ask your Dr before you try anything... the first 6-8 weeks they probably won't clear you to do much more than walk short distances
