I noticed this past week our CD have been leaking lately. They might need to be,stripped but im nit really sure how. Everything I have read says to use bleach. I really want to avoid bleach. How do you strip your dipes?

I think I want to do a series on USA-made diapers in early July. What do you guys think? I don't even know of many USA-made diapers

Don't use bleach. Just wash clean diapers several times on hot. You might want to add a little vinegar and/or tea tree oil

Blueberry and Swaddlebees are, Thirsties, Happy Heinys, Kissaluvs (Texas company actually!), kiwi pie, which I am not sure if they are still since Grovia I think it was, bought them out, S'bish, Softbums. That's all I can think of right now. AMP's are made in Canada!

Same here. But I make a wipe solution. I keep them in a food storage container. I have a mixture of wash cloths, crocheted wash cloths, baby wash cloths, and an old cut up tank top. I put 1/4 cup olive oil (was doing sunflower oil but it was smelling like greasy so I'm trying olive oil to see if that helps. So I might get some vit e oil to add sometime. Then I do a drop of baby soap and a drop of tto. I put it in a 32 oz cup and fill with water. Then I just mix it and dunk all my wipes in a couple at a time(I have to stir while I dunk or else the oil goes to the top and only the first couple wipes get it) and ring them out. I like mine folded nice but you could just throw them in a container.

Waaaaaay easier. I still have disposable wipes around for random stuff. But I don't use them much.

That's a decent list to work with. I can't do Blueberry because they require your site to have had more than 5000 unique visitors and I'm only at like 370.

I have an old top loader. I use a gallon of vinegar dumped into a hot wash cycle followed by another hot wash cycle with nothing added. I do this once a month.

Do you need agitation when prepping diapers? And if so can I just prep with a bunch of DS's clothes since they're washed with the same detergent? It's just 5 diapers and like 8 inserts.

Can I strip with just TTO or do I need vinegar and baking soda too?

I used about 10. But I used them for everything.

I use 1-2 per diaper change. I made wipes a while back and wound up with like 20 flannel wipes and 20 terry cloth wipes and I've never used half of them. I'm still gonna make more though, for when the newbie gets here.

So just water for wipes is fine? I have a million baby wash cloths that Jace can't possibly use for just bath time lol, I may give it a go. I was just always scared off by the idea of all this mixing oils and scents. Seemed too difficult. lol

I've been using plain water with no issues. I want to make some solution soon, but water does the job. The cleansing agents are kind of an added bonus and something I would think would be more important for a younger baby.
