I ended up doing 2 hot & 2 warm washes (each 1hr 15mins long with 2 rinse cycles) .. 2 with detergent, 2 without.

I also boiled for 15mins and then left them to soak in the water a further 15 (with the element off)

Fingers crossed they're ready to use!

I dont have a drier so am going to hang dry them.. i hope it doesn't effect absorbency for the first time using them

I'm making some covers when my mom goes on Spring break at the end of the month. So I figured I can just put some microfiber in them. I don't wanna ruin my dipes I bought by altering them. But I know microfiber can't touch their skin so I figured I could just cover it with cotton and it would still work but not touch their skin. Idk how much needs to be between their bottom and the microfiber.

any amount should be fine  .. aslong as the microfiber is covered.

is you use microfleece its a 'stay dry' material, so she wont feel wet when she pees.

Am I the only one that doesn't stuff until I go in to do the diaper change? I have my stacks of shells and stacks of inserts in the drawers. Sometimes, if I am bored I might stuff them while watching a TV show or something, but I don't like the way microfiber feels so I don't like to touch a whole lot of it at once.

I prefer the 30x30 ones. Gerber and Garanimals are my favorite ones. Easy to find and inexpensive.

I usually don't stuff right away. I used to, but now I like to customize the absorbency depending on if we're going somewhere, if she's getting a bath soon, whatever.

I like being prepared and having everything ready to use ASAP.. (especially because hubby is home tons to help out with changing)

I have all of mine stuffed and ready to go on separate shelves depending on wether they're night/nap time nappies (with bamboo/mf) or daytime nappies just mf.

I hate the way it feels too! Almost like it hooks my skin sometimes.. like.. sticks kind of?   its horrible.

I make sure my wipes are pre moistened & in a tub ready to go as well.. i can not be bothered spraying wipes/fiddling around while i've got a poopie baby/toddler butt to wipe LOL!

My wipes are wet and folded so they pop up and all that in advance. I am too wishy washy on what diaper I want him to wear when so I just wait until that moment to stuff it according (like Faith  )

Yes! I hate the feeling of it grabbing at my skin. Blech.

I hate stuffing now... lol! - i've only got 10 BumGenius pockets that i've been washing/stuffing twice a day (and 10 prefolds/covers that arrived today)

I use to love it - when i had 1 kid and all the time in the world to relax, watch TV and stuff pockets once he was in bed.

Now that i've got a 5mo & 22mo i have NO TIME to myself.. i've ordered mostly all A12 & fitteds.. i wont need to stuff them and im SO happy haha!!  

The last thing i want to do is to be stuffing pockets or cleaning once i have 'me time'.

I don't hate the feeling, it's just annoying as hell.

I made like envelopes to put MF inserts in from our ozycosy flats and it worked fine. T never had issues

I'm the same way. It sticks to me cause my fingertips get dry sometimes. And it feels weird. And then when I stuff it they twist on me or bunch up weird. I just hate it. The crappy part is AI2s aren't as "dry" on baby's skin. But it works better for us. And now Scarlytts butt is clear and we have no issues. I think it was either the coconut oil or an adjustment period to cloth. Or maybe using vinegar in the wash and tto in the wipes has helped. Idk.

I'm ridiculous   I'm so excited I've been telling anyone around be that will listen about the cheap wet bags in Moses' co op. I'm so excited.


Oh and I stuff everything at once. It's easier for me since I'm a working momma to have everything ready to go for the diaper bag and for my hubs. He will put them on the kid but not wash or stuff.

I am excited too. I am using mine for pool bags   And I did as well. I'd sit down with my favorite show and stuff diapers once a week
