Any good recommendations for decently priced wool or fleece covers?
All the ones I've found have been $35+. or is that just the average price for them? :/

Fleece covers SHOULD be under $10, unless you have some kind of custom, elaborate design. Good wool is pricey. But you can find used cheaper.

I have officially started my stash   I have 2 covers, 6 prefolds, a snappi & a charcoal insert! I have 3 more covers on the way. I will be buying 6 JCTrades & 6 Alvas with MF inserts very soon too. After that I'll be buying more prefolds & some flats

Im dying to try prefolds too, i just need to find some decent ones in Australia  ... so far the only indian unbleached work out to $5.50 each! (cheapest i can find!!)

Hey everyone! I just posted this but figured I'd ask here, too.


We used Desitin and Lotrimin for a yeast rash recently. I used baby wash cloths as liners. They must have worked because there is no smell and no issues with our diapers, but the washcloths smell horrible, like fish. I even washed them twice with blue Dawn and bleach. I'm ready to toss them and buy new ones, but I want to give them one more try. Would soaking in vinegar over night help? Any tips?

Boil them. They smell because of the cod liver oil, which doesn't melt at a low enough temp to come off in the washer.

Should I put anything in the water to boil them in? How long do I boil them for?

I'm not sure haha. Maybe try a little blue dawn and check every 5 minutes to see if they're clean?

Thanks, I'll try that. They stink so bad. The doctor told me Desitin, but I'll just get a cloth diaper safe alternative from now on. Washing liners separately sucks, too.

Question about boiling..

I've got some bamboo inserts boiling at the moment.. how long do i do them for?

Is 30min ok to prep?

I put a drop of washing liquid in also to help get the oils out.

Can you boil Microfiber? - Ive got some bamboo/mf inserts coming that i'll have to prep too.

I don't know how long to boil for, but yes you can boil MF. But nothing with PUL or elastic
